Crazy Evo

Back at the garage some work has been done on a friend's new chop. Among other things, a replica Crazy Frank fender from the guys over at The Real Fender was made to fit the Evo lowtail frame.
Sweet!

Project "O" is Back!!

Remember that pile of parts that we transformed into a cool runnin' chopper?

Well, its back!
The owner rode the shit out of it this summer just to make sure it wouldn't fall apart, just kiddin', its a great idea to put some miles on a finished chopper before painting and detailing it.

This way, minor flaws can be easily modified, or even completely redone if there would be anything out of taste or whatever.
Budget-wise a smart decision.
You wouldn't want to scratch away some high-dollar paintjob for an extra tab on a frame, would you? And don't even think about welding on a freshly painted or powdercoated frame.
Just saying..

Anyway, the bike is back, we took it apart for paint, polish, chrome.
Master welder "J" will be fabbin' a new stainless steel exhaust soon.
The shovelhead engine  and 4-speed gearbox will be rebuild for a slighly better performance then stock, durabilty is key here!

Will post some updates!
Project 'O" as it left a couple of months ago, a rough build chopper, put together from a pile of parts
The ISR sprocket brake, worked like a charm but will get a new sprocket/disc, safety first

The temporary steel exhaust, will be replaced by a stainless steel one

The hardtailframe had it last welding done, some tabs needed some cosmetic work, it will be beadblasted and inspected, after that it will get a nice satin black powdercoating

Shovelhead power will be found again, some higher compression pistons, headwork, mild grind camshaft, tolerances within spec and an electronic ignition combined with a new S&S super "E" shorty will do just fine

Bunch-O-parts

More parts, waiting for a clean-up, paint, coating or polishing

The primary, a chain driven primairy will remain, kicker/electric start combo, some new bearings, adjusters and clutch plates will do the trick.

Another Honda! Japan is taking over!

Some time ago Jeff contacted us.
Jeff  purchased a very cool 70's style Honda CB750 chopper some time ago and the bike needed some work.
Some engine work (leaking gaskets, sloppy carbs and some wiring) will be done but only after we succesfully modified this fine piece of chopper history.
A Girder front end was found wich will complete this chopper, we machined new framecups to hold modern style timken bearings, we fabricated spacers for the smooth rimmed 21" spoolhubbed front wheel and Roll Without Controll wizard Giel bended some rusty tubing into a fabulous six-bend handlebar, needles to say that these bars where finished with high quality show-chrome.

Some more modifications are on its way!

The girder, still waiting for the perfect geometry set-up, the thing with girders is that they are frame specific and they can not be "just fitted" in a different sized frame, the height of the stem affects the geometry of the parallelogram, kinda crucial with these types of forks

A quick mock-up

temporary bars and riser, for mock-up purposes

A smooth rimmed 21" with a spoolhub, like a wet dream *disclaimer; we are aware that the tire is the wrong way around*

You gotta love CB 750 engine!

Stylish spoolhub, matching spacers, by the way, it was a pain in the ass to find the right size bearings for this hub/axle combo.

CB360 caferacer project update

A lot of work has been done lately, mostly cleaning parts, searching for parts and ordering them.
We fitted the Marzocchi triple trees with the original Honda stem in order to fit original size bearings.
Some machining was done on the Marzocchi parts to obtain a perfect fit for the lengthened original Honda stem, custom protective caps where machined from aluminum to keep dirt away from the new conical head-race bearings.

New aluminum end caps where machined, stylish and functional and matching the looks of the Italian fork parts.
We bead blasted the parts for that satin finish, wich kinda looks cool.

Front hub waiting for some parts, after that we'll align it and have it detailed by Royal Jack

Custom aluminum caps for the Marzocchi forks

The front hub has undergone the Royal Jack treatment, after this treatment the hub will be laced with a high shouldered aluminum rim.
