Honda cb360 update

So, our sweet caferacer project is coming along.
The sweet hubs where polished, Morad aluminum rims are laced with stainless steel spokes, all other wheel parts are ready for mounting.
This week tires will be fitted, so the mock-up for fitting the tank and seat combo can take place.

The engine was put together, covers polished, bolts torqued down, still waiting for some parts like carbs and electronic ignition, it'll be running two brandspanking new Mikuni carbs.
Fully rebuild engine, new everything. And shiny too!

Front wheel backing plates, polished, the stock speedo drive is obsolete because of the use of an electronic motogadget speedo.

Front wheel, polished aluminum, high glossy white paint, wil get some sticky rubber soon!

Project "O" is Back!!

Remember that pile of parts that we transformed into a cool runnin' chopper?

Well, its back!
The owner rode the shit out of it this summer just to make sure it wouldn't fall apart, just kiddin', its a great idea to put some miles on a finished chopper before painting and detailing it.

This way, minor flaws can be easily modified, or even completely redone if there would be anything out of taste or whatever.
Budget-wise a smart decision.
You wouldn't want to scratch away some high-dollar paintjob for an extra tab on a frame, would you? And don't even think about welding on a freshly painted or powdercoated frame.
Just saying..

Anyway, the bike is back, we took it apart for paint, polish, chrome.
Master welder "J" will be fabbin' a new stainless steel exhaust soon.
The shovelhead engine  and 4-speed gearbox will be rebuild for a slighly better performance then stock, durabilty is key here!

Will post some updates!
Project 'O" as it left a couple of months ago, a rough build chopper, put together from a pile of parts
The ISR sprocket brake, worked like a charm but will get a new sprocket/disc, safety first

The temporary steel exhaust, will be replaced by a stainless steel one

The hardtailframe had it last welding done, some tabs needed some cosmetic work, it will be beadblasted and inspected, after that it will get a nice satin black powdercoating

Shovelhead power will be found again, some higher compression pistons, headwork, mild grind camshaft, tolerances within spec and an electronic ignition combined with a new S&S super "E" shorty will do just fine

Bunch-O-parts

More parts, waiting for a clean-up, paint, coating or polishing

The primary, a chain driven primairy will remain, kicker/electric start combo, some new bearings, adjusters and clutch plates will do the trick.

CB360 caferacer project update

A lot of work has been done lately, mostly cleaning parts, searching for parts and ordering them.
We fitted the Marzocchi triple trees with the original Honda stem in order to fit original size bearings.
Some machining was done on the Marzocchi parts to obtain a perfect fit for the lengthened original Honda stem, custom protective caps where machined from aluminum to keep dirt away from the new conical head-race bearings.

New aluminum end caps where machined, stylish and functional and matching the looks of the Italian fork parts.
We bead blasted the parts for that satin finish, wich kinda looks cool.

Front hub waiting for some parts, after that we'll align it and have it detailed by Royal Jack

Custom aluminum caps for the Marzocchi forks

The front hub has undergone the Royal Jack treatment, after this treatment the hub will be laced with a high shouldered aluminum rim.

New FK Fabrication project

Just recently we picked up a Honda cb360 stocker wich will be transformed into one cool caferacer.
After stripping the bike we selected a mix of parts wich wil be used.
Who'd ever think that a Kawasaki dirtbike duo shock rear-end and a classic Marzocchi front-end would find a happy marriage in a 1974 Honda frame ?

Some aluminum spacers wich will hold needle bearings needed to be machined to fit the duo shock rear-end in the Honda frame

We removed unnecessary bungs, tabs and other crap, grinded everything smooth and beadblasted the frame
The aluminum Kawasaki dirtbike rear-end fits like a glove!
The stock engine (here for mock-up and measurement purposes) will get a complete overhaul and needs to be updated.
Carbs, ignition, head and camshaft will be upgraded into better quality parts, for reliablity and some more power.

Up front we'll use a classic Marzocchi front end with a hefty drumbrake.

Timken-style bearings will be used so in the next couple of days we'll be working on that!
Stay tuned!

Project "O" Flakekings & Limpe Iven Build bike.

What we build from a pile of parts, a smooth running coneshovel, some new parts, some parts where fabricated in our shop. It'll see some miles first before it will be taken apart for paint and the details. More pics coming up after the weekend. Remember the TIN release party this saturday and The Hayride!!
